
Kings Announce Player Transactions

Manchester Monarchs News Release
LOS ANGELES, CA -- The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned goaltender Erik Ersberg and forward Rich Clune to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
The Kings have also signed center Jordan Nolan to a three-year NHL entry-level contract. Nolan, 21, was selected by the Kings in the seventh-round (186th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He played in two preseason games with the Kings this season and was assigned to Manchester on September 24. Last season he played with Ontario (ECHL) and Sault. Ste. Marie (OHL).
In addition, the following Kings players have changed jersey numbers:
Jake Muzzin - 6 Brayden Schenn - 10 Andrei Loktionov - 12 Kyle Clifford - 13 Trevor Lewis - 22
Ersberg, 28, was 4-3-2 with a 2.40 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in 11 appearances with the Kings last season. In 53 career NHL games (all with the Kings) he is 18-19-10 with a 2.55 goals-against-average, .910 save percentage and two shutouts. Ersberg was the first Swedish goaltender in Kings history.
Clune, 23, split time last season with both the Kings and Monarchs. In 14 regular season games with the Kings he had two points (both assists) and 26 penalty minutes. He played in four postseason games with the Kings as well, posting zero points and five penalty minutes. In 44 games with Manchester he had 14 points (4-1014) and 126 penalty minutes, which was second on the club.
