
Kings Acquire Carcillo from Chicago

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have acquired forward Daniel Carcillo from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Carcillo, 27, has spent the last two seasons with the Blackhawks. In 23 games last season, he had three points (2-13) and 11 penalty minutes. In four post-season games with Chicago, he had one assist and six penalty minutes.
Prior to joining the Blackhawks in 2011-12, Carcillo spent parts of three seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers (2008-09 to 2010-11) and parts of three seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes (2006-07 to 2008-09). Carcillo was traded mid-season from Phoenix to Philadelphia in 2008-09.
The 6-foot, 203-pound native of King City, Ontario has appeared in 333 regular season NHL games during his career, posting 87 points (40-4787) and 1,079 penalty minutes. Carcillo led the NHL in penalty minutes in 2007-08 (324 penalty minutes) and 2008-09 (254 penalty minutes), while ranking fourth in 2009-10 (207 penalty minutes). In 37 career playoff games, he has 12 points (5-712) and 75 penalty minutes.
Carcillo was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (73rd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
