Kingfish Waive Schafer, trade another

The Baton Rouge Kingfish continue to make roster moves. Goaltender Paxton Schafer was waived today while forward Josh Maser was claimed off waivers and traded to Toledo.

In 6 games with the Kingfish, Schafer went 2-4-0 as he made 147 saves for a .855 save percentage while posting a 4.21 goals against average.

The Kingfish claimed forward Josh Maser off waivers from the Cincinnati Cyclones. Maser was then traded to Toledo for cash. In 3 games with Cincinnati, Maser had an even plus-minus rating while picking up 12 penalty minutes.

Sunday is ‘Tiger Nite' at the ‘Fish Tank' as the Kingfish take on the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 4:05 p.m. The Kingfish will wear special "Tiger" jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game.
