GREENSBORO GENERALS

The Generals defeated the Pee Dee Pride 5-3 last Saturday night at the Coliseum. Pete Gardiner tied the game at two with a second period goal, and a breakaway goal by Murphy 6:18 into the third period gave the Generals their first lead of the game at 3-2. Pee Dee responded to tie the score at 3-3 with less than six minutes to go in the contest, but Sam Ftorek slapped home a power play score with just 2:46 remaining for the game-winning goal. Murphy added an empty net goal in the final minute to complete his hat trick.

Daniel Tetrault scored his first goal as a Titan midway through the first period for a 1-0 lead, but Dayton tied the score less than a minute later. Kent Davyduke put Trenton ahead to stay with six minutes left in the first, and they never looked back.
