
Kingfish Snap Seven Game Losing Streak in Waterloo

Waterloo, Iowa - The Kingfish have finally ended their seven game losing streak. It came with emphasis, as well, as the Kingfish defeated the Waterloo Bucks 11-3.
The Kingfish lit up the scoreboard in the first with three runs. After that, the Kingfish never looked back. They scored three in the fifth, two in the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth.
Brendon Allen took the mound for the Kingfish and was excellent. After giving up three hits and a run in the first inning, he threw a scoreless one-hitter for the next 6. His final line ended with 7 innings of work, 4 hits allowed, 1 run scored, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts. Allen picked up his first win of the year today as well.
Matt Hearn paced the offense this afternoon with 4 base hits. His brother, JD Hearn, followed his lead with three. Jack Yalowitz, Cal Jadacki, and Gunnar McNeill each picked up two hits on the afternoon. Marty Bechina and Gunnar McNeill led the team in RBI with 3 apiece. As a club, the Kingfish outhit Waterloo 18-7, and tallied 3 extra base hits.
The Kingfish will finish their series with Waterloo up tomorrow before heading home to meet Green Bay at Simmons Field on Tuesday.
