Eleven Kingfish Taken in 2016 MLB Draft

Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish had the honor of having eleven former and current players selected in the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. Matt Hearn, Derek Heffel, and Reid Anderson, who are current members of the 2016 team, were all taken within the first 25 rounds. Buddy Reed (Florida) was the highest Kingfish alum to be selected, as the Padres drafted him in the 2nd round with the 48th overall pick.
