Keys Surpass 2007 Attendance

Frederick, MD - The Frederick Keys have surpassed their attendance mark from 2007 and will see more fans head through the turnstiles at Harry Grove Stadium in any season since 2002. This is the fourth consecutive season the Keys have had a rise in attendance. There are two games remaining in the Keys 2008 schedule.

Last night a crowd of 7,062 fans pushed the Keys past their 2007 total of 283,065 fans to their current total of 285,184. On average the Keys have brought in 4,456 per game an increase of 64 patrons per game over last year's total. Last night the Keys also exceeded 2003's total of 285,048 fans to mark the highest attended year since 2002.

"We want to thank our fans for another outstanding season," Keys General Manager Dave Ziedelis stated. "The Keys will continue to bring family friendly, affordable fun to the community."

The Keys have not raised ticket prices in eight years. Field seats are $11, Reserved seats $9 and General Admission Seats $8.

Frederick will finish second in the Carolina League behind Wilmington in attendance in 2008. In the eight-team Carolina League the Keys have never been below third in attendance in their 20-year history.

The Frederick Keys are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and are the reigning Carolina League champions. The Keys close their 2008 regular season this weekend with a four-game series with the Winston Salem Warthogs from August 29 - September 1.
