Frederick, MD - The Frederick Keys, class Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and parent company Comcast-Spectacor have announced that tickets for the 2006 Carolina League Playoffs will be on sale beginning on Friday, August 25th at 9:00 a.m. The Keys are on the verge of making the playoffs for the second season in a row, only the second time the team has accomplished the feat in franchise history.

As of Monday, August 21st the Keys hold a 4.5 game lead over Wilmington and Potomac for first place in the Carolina League North. If the Keys remain in first place in the Carolina League North they would begin their run for a second consecutive Mills Cup at Harry Grove Stadium against the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Wednesday, September 6th.

If the Keys advance through the Divisional Playoff Series they would play for the Mills Cup against the winner of the Southern Division series between the Kinston Indians, winners of the Carolina League South first half title, and the winner of the Carolina League South second half title. With the Northern Division possessing home field advantage in 2006, the Keys would have the opportunity to clinch the championship at Harry Grove Stadium. The scheduled home dates for the Mills Cup Series are, Monday, September 11th, Tuesday, September 12th and Wednesday, September 13th if necessary.

As per the normal league policy, no 2006 Frederick Keys regular season tickets are exchangeable for any of the four possible playoff games. This includes rainouts, unused tickets, undated tickets and fan pack cards/tickets, with no exceptions.

General admission seats for kids 12 and under, senior citizens, and active military personnel are $5. Adults can purchase general admission seats for $8. Reserved box seats are $9 and field box seats are $11. General Admission seats for children 5 and under are always free.
