Keys and Hillcats Rained Out

LYNCHBURG, VA -Sunday afternoon's game between the Frederick Keys and the Lynchburg Hillcats has been postponed due to rain. Since the Keys do not return to Lynchburg in the first half, the game will be shifted to Nymeo Field as part of a doubleheader on May 30.
With the rainout Sunday, the Keys claim a de-facto two-game sweep of the Hillcats. Over the series, Keys pitching did not allow a run over 16 innings en route to back-to-back 5-0 wins over their CL North rival.
The Keys will have a scheduled off-day on Monday before beginning a six-game homestand on Tuesday night against the Potomac Nationals and Fayetteville Woodpeckers. Tuesday's game is slated for a 7:00 p.m. first pitch with pregame broadcast coverage starting at 6:45 on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn radio app.
Homestand highlights include Maryland Pride Night, Woodstock Night with a Woodstock themed jersey and Halfway to Halloween with a postgame Candy Drop. The Frederick Keys are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play their home games at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium. Following the 2018 season, the Keys were named the winner of the Carolina League's Complete Franchise Award. This goes to a team in the league which demonstrates franchise stability and significant contributions to its community and the league.
