
Kernels fall to Wisconsin, 7-4

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers took game three of a four game series with the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 7-4, behind Juan Ramirez nine strikeouts over 5.2 innings and Gavin Dickey going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI on Saturday afternoon.
Ramirez (1-2) allowed three runs on four hits and walked three to get the win.
Anel De Los Santos was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI and Clay Fuller was 1 for 3 with a triple and RBI as the Kernels were held to just six hits on the afternoon. Andrew Romine, Angel Castillo and Jerry Gonzalez each had a single.
Kernels starter Mason Tobin (2-2) only threw 2/3 of an inning before being replaced by Jordan Towns. Towns threw 3.2 innings, allowing four runs on four hits, walked one and struck out one. Brian Chambers, Ysmael Carmona and Ryan Brasier combined to cover the final 3.2 innings.
