The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night in an entertaining WHL game in front of 6,172 fans at Prospera Place.

Down 3-0 late in the second period, the Rockets scored three straight goals to tie the game and then won it in a shootout.

Adam Brown earned the win in net, securing his 100th career Western Hockey League win with two stops in the shootout and one game-saving stop in the second period. With Vancouver leading 3-0 Brown sprawled to stop Giants sniper Marek Tvrdon, who appeared to have an open net.

Cody Chikie, Mitchell Chapman and Tanner Moar scored for the Rockets in regulation while Zach Franko and Myles Bell each scored in the shootout.

The win improves the Rockets record to 20-23-2-3.

Kelowna will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Kamloops Blazers.

On Sunday the Rockets are hosting a family skate at Prospera Place from 3:45 to 5 p.m. Admission is a recyclable item for Bankhead Elementary.
