Kellyn Acosta Named to US World Cup Qualifying Roster

Midfielder Kellyn Acosta will have a chance to continue his great run of form for the U.S. Men's National Team as he's been called in ahead of the first three World Cup Qualifying matches. Head coach Gregg Berhalter has called 26 players to begin preparations for the start of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying.
Kellyn Acosta has become a regular under USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter in 2021, appearing in all 13 matches this year and 14 consecutive matches overall. The USMNT opens World Cup qualifying with three matches, first traveling to face El Salvador on Thursday, September 2. Next, the US will face Canada on September 5 in Nashville and close out this window on September 8 against Honduras in San Pedro Sula.
