MANCHESTER, NH – The American Hockey League ruled today that Manchester Monarchs center Steve Kelly must serve a four-game suspension for physically abusing an official. The league upped Kelly's original suspension from three games to four games after reviewing his actions in the Monarchs game against the Portland Pirates on Saturday, October 18.

Kelly has already served one of the four games. He did not skate in the Monarchs game against the Hershey Bears at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester on Sunday, October 19. Kelly will also miss all three Monarchs road games this weekend.

The Monarchs are scheduled to meet the Lowell Lock Monsters at the Tsongas Arena on Friday, October 24 (7:00 p.m.). After that, they are scheduled to play the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Hartford Civic Center on Saturday, October 25 (7:05 p.m.), and the Providence Bruins at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Sunday, October 25 (4:05 p.m.).

The Monarchs next home game is scheduled for Saturday, November 1 against the Lowell Lock Monsters. Single seats in the Gold Level and 700 seats in the Silver Level remain for that game. Every fan attending the Monarchs game on that day will receive an 8 x 10 photo of Monarchs defenseman Joe Rullier, courtesy of the New Hampshire Prevention and Control Program.
