Kansas City's Parsons named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Tyler Parsons of the Kansas City Mavericks is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 13-19.

Parsons went 4-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.49 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage last week, helping the Mavericks to a five-game winning streak.

The 20-year-old stopped 34 shots in a 5-2 win against Tulsa on Tuesday, made 38 saves in a 2-1 victory at Wichita on Wednesday, turned aside 35 shots in a 4-3 win at Fort Wayne on Friday and stopped all 28 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory at Quad City on Sunday.

Selected by the Calgary Flames in the 2nd round (54th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Parsons is tied for third in the ECHL with six wins, is third with 323 saves and fifth with 600 minutes played.

Prior to turning pro, Parsons appeared in 116 career games with London of the Ontario Hockey League, posting an overall record of 75-25-10 with eight shutouts, a 2.65 goals-against average and a save percentage of .918.

Runner Up: Etienne Marcoux, Indy (2-0-0, 2.50 GAA, .940 save pct.).
