(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky. ) Kannapolis starter Yelmison Peralta and two relievers teamed up to hold the Lexington Legends to three hits as the Intimidators took a 7-3 win Tuesday night. The Intimidators won three out of four games in the series.

The Legends took the lead with two runs in the first inning. Corey Toups, Alfredo Escalera and Ryan O'Hearn drew walks to load the bases. Toups scored as Wander Franco reached base on an error by shortstop Eddy Alvarez, and Escalera came home on a ground out by Chase Vallot.

The Intimidators came back with three runs in the top of the second. With two outs, Toby Thomas and Sean O'Connell singled, putting runners at first and second. Tyler Williams doubled down the right field line, scoring Thomas, and O'Connell came home on an error by Escalera, the right fielder. James Baldwin's single brought Williams home with the go-ahead run.

The Intimidators added two runs in the third. Christian Stringer was hit by a pitch, and scored on a triple by Louie Lechich. Lechich came home on a passed ball to make the score 5-2.

In the top of the fourth, a double by Williams and a bunt single by Baldwin put runners at first and third. Baldwin was caught off first, but first baseman Ryan O'Hearn's throw went into left center field for an error, allowing Williams to score and giving Kannapolis a 6-2 lead. Baldwin, who went back to first after being in the rundown, then stole second and third, and continued home when catcher Luis Villegas made an errant throw to third.

The Legends scored their final run in the fifth on a walk to Michael Hill, a double by Villegas and a ground out by Toups.

Peralta (1-3), who worked the first five innings, picked up the win. Relievers Jacob Morris and Kelvis Valerio each pitched two scoreless innings. Legends' starter Zach Lovvorn (1-4) was the losing pitcher.

The Legends will go on the road to open a four-game series against the Savannah Sand Gnats Thursday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
