Striking First

Kalamazoo has held a lead in each of the four games in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. The reason for the leads is that the K-Wings have scored first in each game of the series.

Rolling Along

Forwards Kory Karlander and Glenn Detulleo are both riding a three-game assist streak into game five. Besides the three-game assist streak, Karlander has also produced a point in each of the four games in the series, making him the only K-Wings player to score in every playoff game,

Bootland Ties Record

With a goal on Sunday, forward Nick Bootland tied the K-Wings' UHL franchise record for most goals in a playoff career with 11. Bootland's feat comes three days after forward Lucas Drake set the record on April 12th at Wings Stadium.

Working Overtime

The overtime loss in game four gives the K-Wings an all-time UHL record of 3-3 in extra sessions. The K-Wings last overtime win occurred on May 27th, when Kalamazoo clinched the Colonial Cup against the Danbury Trashers.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

With their loss in game four on Sunday, the K-Wings did something that they haven't done all year. Including the regular season, the loss mark the first-time in 34 games that the K-Wings did not win a game that they lead going into the third period (31-0-0 in the regular season, 2-1 in the playoffs).
