
K-Wings Helping Others Keep Warm

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce the organization in junction with family members of their players will host a coat drive this weekend during both of the K-Wings home games.
Starting this Friday, November 21st, the first 100 fans that donate a coat will receive a voucher for a FREE ticket to either home game this weekend. Following the first 100 fans, any other individual donating to the coat drive will receive a coupon for buy one ticket, get another ticket for equal or lesser value free.
"Jen Detulleo and myself wanted to follow the K-Wings lead and help as many families as possible this holiday season," said Christine Bootland. "After discussing it with family members of the organization, everyone is excited to lend a hand, and the consensus was that giving coats to those truly need them will be the best holiday gift."
On Friday (11/21), the K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium to host the Bloomington PrairieThunder at 7:30 p.m. on Win-Win Night, presented by Win-98.5 FM. If the K-Wings win, all fans in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to Kalamazoo's home game on November 23rd.
Finishing the week on Sunday (11/23), the K-Wings will host the Icehawks at 4 p.m. on Scout Day. All scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms to the game. Sunday's game will also be the last home game for the K-Wings until Friday, December 12th.
The coat drive continues the K-Wings initiative of helping out during the holiday season. Last weekend, the K-Wings and their fans helped the community by donating non-perishable food items during Noisemaker Night, which was presented by Meijer.
Next month, Kalamazoo will host the Bloomington PrairieThunder on December 20th during the K-Wings annual Teddy Bear Toss Night, presented by Hydro Aluminum and WKFR. All bears collected during that game will go to the Salvation Army, as well as the K-Wings yearly holiday visit to the Children's Hospital at Bronson.
Single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2008-09 home schedule are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Tickets range from $9.90-$14.90. Prices for K-Wings games will increase $1 for premium game nights (Orange Ice, Golden Ice, Pink Ice, Green Ice & New Years Eve). Fans are also encouraged to purchase their game tickets in advance, as they will save $1 per ticket by getting their seats prior to a game day.
Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call the Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
