MUSKEGON, MI.--- Commencing the new week of the 2008-09 IHL season sporting the circuit's premiere winning percentage of a sterling .700 through a record of 10(7-3-0), the Muskegon Lumberjacks are continuing in their domination of the league's weekly honors and awards.

On this date, the International Hockey League, in concert with the Lumberjacks, has announced that center MAXIME LINCOURT has been acclaimed the AQUAFINA / IHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK, for the week of November 10th through November 16th. This marks the second consecutive week that Lincourt has been the recipient of this weekly league award.

LINCOURT, 21, enjoyed yet another sound, solid and consistent week in the Lumberjacks two-games in two nights weekend the past weekend.

The past Friday night in Fort Wayne, he proved to be a major catalyst in spearheading the Lumberjacks 5-4 triumph over the reigning league champions, the Komets. Hailed as the game's #3 Star, the native of Montreal, PQ, authored 3-crafty assists and earned a stellar +3 rating as Muskegon captured its second consecutive victory in as many meetings thus far this season against the perennial powerhouse Fort Wayne aggregation nation. It was also Muskegon's first victory in the Indiana hamlet since December 15, 2007, effectively terminating a 5-game winless streak there; 5(0-4-1).

With the Lumberjacks staying on the road the following night for a sojourn to Bloomington and a bout with the Prairie Thunder, Saturday night, Lincourt essayed a single assist and +1 rating as his team saw its season's best 4-game win streak severed in the form of a 6-4 setback.

For the week, the 6-1, 195lb first year pivot was 2(0-4-4) with 4-SOG and healthy +4 rating. Lincourt is an outstanding +7 in the 'Jacks last 5-games.

For the season overall, he is listed as the IHL's second top scoring rookie, averaging over a point a game with 10(5-7-12,) ranking 16th in overall league point-productivity. His 5-goals and 7-assists both rank as rookie runner-up in those two categories while his +7 rating ranks #1 among this year's league freshmen class.

This is the second straight week that Lincourt has been honored as Aquafina / IHL Rookie of the Week. The Lumber-jacks have become a regular feature of such league-wide accolades. Previously, Todd Robinson was named Pepsi / IHL Player of the Week for the prior two successive weeks with his linemate Luke Stauffacher also attaining such lofty league laurels.

The Lumberjacks face 3-games in 3-nights this week as they travel to Flint Thursday night to broach a 2-game home-and-home series with the Generals who reciprocate by coming to Muskegon Friday night for a 7:00 pm face-off on the "Meat Block Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot Night. Saturday night, the 'Jacks host Bloomington at 7:00 pm, also at Walker Arena, on "Ladies Night Out" night.
