K-Wings Continue Home Stand

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce the K-Wings will play three out of four games at home this week.

The K-Wings will begin a four-game week tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22nd with a 10:30 a.m. face-off versus the Toledo Walleye during the first of two Education Day Games, presented by Bronson Orthopedic Sports Medicine, Edison Electric, McDonald's, Meijer's and Rx Optical. Students representing 18 different schools will be cheering on the K-Wings tomorrow morning.

Concluding a four-game home stand on Friday, February 24th, the K-Wings will welcome the Chicago Express to Wings Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. face-off during a Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 Beer's, $1 Hot Dogs and $1 Pepsi products, as well as Big Brothers/Big Sisters Night brought to you Schupan & Sons INC.

To help promote the contest, four members of the K-Wings, Sam Ftorek, Prab Rai and Justin Taylor will visit Huntington Bank, located at 416 W. Center Street location in Portage, Michigan this Thursday, February 23rd from 4-6 p.m. The appearance will be part of a radio remote that will feature many giveaways.

Heading back on the road, Kalamazoo will travel to the "Queen City" to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones on February 25th for a 7:35 p.m. encounter at the U.S. Bank Arena. On the season, the K-Wings are 7-3-0-1 against the Cyclones, who begin the week tied for second place in the North Division.

Sunday, February 26th, the K-Wings will finish the week at Wings Stadium with a 4 p.m. face-off versus the Wheeling Nailers on a Family Hockey in the 'ZOO, featuring every kid's favorite adventurer, Dora the Explorer, presented by Meijer, Pepsi, Charter and the Kalamazoo Gazette.

The first 500 kids will receive a FREE K-Wings Dry-Erase Goalie Mask, presented by Pepsi and all fans can skate with the team after the game (skate rental is $3).

Sunday will also be the K-Wings annual Faith Night, which will feature two concerts, from Christian recording artist, Please Promise at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both shows will feature speaker, Pastor Taylor Downs Russell, Minister of Youth & Young Adults at Second Reformed Church, with the theme of "The Ultimate Goal".

During the 2 p.m. show, K-Wings defenseman Sam Ftorek will give a testimonial.

Single-game tickets for the upcoming 2011-2012 season are on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, please call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are $12.90 and $16.90 for adults, $11.90 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
