Kinston Indians News Release
A season high four games over .500, the K-Tribe are now just two games behind Myrtle Beach (after the Pelicans lost a Wednesday morning game in extra innings) for first place in the Carolina League Southern Division. Myrtle Beach will host Northern Division Champion Frederick for four games this weekend. After tonight's home contest with Salem, Kinston will travel to Lynchburg for the final four games of the first half!
Power of the Tribe - Through April, Kinston had been outscored 107-72, a run differential of -35. Since the beginning of May Kinston has been on the better end, outscoring the opposition 164-136. During that time, the K-Tribe posted a May record of 18-10, second best in the league. The Indians are 8-6 in June.
