Kinston Indians News Release
Kinston starts the night three games back of first place Salem, as they take on the Red Sox in game two of the four game series Tuesday night in Virginia.
Super Starters - House's outing last night continued a string of dominance for K-Tribe starting pitching. Kinston starters have surrendered two earned runs or fewer in 9 of the last 11 games. No earned runs have been allowed by the starters in six of those games and just one earned run in two of the games. The Indians are 6-5 over their last 11 contests.
Clutch Additions - Four of the newest Indians have provided a big boost to the K-Tribe's second half playoff push. Jeremie Tice (.370), Chun Chen (.348), Juan Diaz (.313) and Bo Greenwell (.300) are Kinston's top four hitters with runners in scoring position. The quartet is hitting .330 combined with RISP. That average elevates to .377 with RISP and two out. Tice is hitting an astounding .500 (8-for-16) with RISP and two out.
