Sacramento River Cats News Release

Oakland A's starting pitcher and two-time American League All-Star Justin Duchscherer is scheduled to make a Major League Rehabilitation appearance for the River Cats on Friday, July 31, against the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A affiliate of the LA Angels of Anaheim) at Raley Field. Duchscherer is scheduled to start the game and throw approximately 60 pitches.

Duchscherer was placed on the 15-day DL by the A's on March 27 following surgery on his right elbow (he was moved to the 60-day DL on April 29). The 31-year old was an integral part of the Cats' first PCL Championship in 2003, when he went 14-2 and won PCL Pitcher-of-the-Year Honors. He previously made rehab appearances for the River Cats in 2006 and 2008.

Tickets are still available for Friday's game.
