Angels Option Mosebach to Salt Lake, Cabrera Reassigned to Orem

SALT LAKE CITY (July 30, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has optioned right-handed pitcher Bobby Mosebach to Triple-A Salt Lake. To make room, right- handed pitcher Francis Cabrera was reassigned to Rookie-League Orem.

Mosebach, 24, made his major league debut on July 25 at home against the Minnesota Twins. The West Palm Beach, Fla. native faced five batters and allowed two hits in an inning of work. In total, Mosebach made three relief appearances, logging 2.1 IP, surrendering four hits, three runs (two earned) with three walks and two strikeouts. Mosebach has appeared in 17 games for the Bees in 2009, owning a 2-1 record with a 2.78 ERA with 15 strikeouts. In 19 games for Arkansas this season, he owns a 2-0 record with a 0.34 ERA and six saves. The West Palm Beach, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the ninth round of the 2005 draft.

Cabrera, 23, joined the Bees on July 26, but did not see action. Cabrera has appeared in nine games for the Orem Owlz in 2009, owning a 2-0 record with a 2.95 ERA with 14 strikeouts. The Dominican Republic native originally signed with the Angels as a non-drafted free agent on June 11, 2005.
