Jungle Kats Host Steeldogs Saturday for "White-Out Night"

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats will try again to earn their second win of the season as they begin a two-week, two game homestand this Saturday when they host the Alabama Steeldogs at 7:30pm from U.S. Bank Arena. Saturday's game is also dubbed "White-Out Night" as fans are encouraged to wear all white clothing to the arena.
The Kats had no trouble jumping way ahead against the Green Bay Blizzard last week, leading 31-7 halfway through the first half. Unfortunately, they were unable to hold the lead, as the Blizzard outscored Cincinnati 41-7 the rest of the way to earn the comeback victory.
Tonight, however, the Jungle Kats hope to utilize home-field advantage against the Alabama Steeldogs as they open up the 2-game homestand. In their last homestand opener against Fort Wayne, the Kats picked up their first and only victory of 2007 - a 35-32 win.
Certainly an important key to victory will be the solidity of Kats quarterback Aaron Marshall. In his first start as a Jungle Kats signal caller, Marshall completed 21of 42 passes for 251 yards and 3 TD's, but came in a losing effort. Kats WR/DB Hassan Brockman has also been a versatile player in his 5 games played this season. He is the team's second leading receiver, hauling in 339 yards and 4 TD's while placing third on the Kats defensively - recording 22.5 tackles; the other two leaders in that category, Desmond Washington and Keon Mainor, have played in all 7 games. Last week against Green Bay, Brockman returned a kick 56 yards for a touchdown - the first such event in team history.
