CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats (1-13) found themselves in a shooting match early on in their home finale against the Green Bay Blizzard (8-6) but were unable to hold. The Blizzard outscored the Kats 35-16 in the second half, with all but 7 points coming in the fourth quarter, on their way to a 77-40 victory in front of 4,568 at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday night. Former University of Cincinnati Bearcat QB Gino Guidugli completed 14 of 22 passes for 228 yards and 6 TD's while his counterpart Scott Jefferies finished 21-of-41, 250 yards and 4 scores in a losing effort.

In the opening quarter, the former Cincinnati Bearcat signal caller excelled - completing 5 of 8 passes for 120 yards and 3 TD's, leading his Blizzard to a 21-7 lead. The Kats lone score in the first frame came when Hassan Brockman hauled in a 45-yard pass from QB Scott Jefferies, providing the Cutters Catch of the Game.

In the second quarter, both teams found the endzone several times. Green Bay added another 21 points to their totals while Cincinnati could only muster 17 points and trailed at the break, 42-24. Nathan Hardwick, Scott Burnoski, and Antonio Ficklin all crossed the goal line in the second for the Blizzard while Scott Jefferies and Desmond Washington earned touchdowns for the Kats.

After the break, both teams hit an offensive stalemate until the 4:51 mark of the third, when Green Bay's Tyre Young recovered a Jungle Kats fumbled snap in the endzone, extending their lead to 49-24. With a 32-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, Green Bay continued to pad their lead in a big way during the 4th quarter. Guidugli and his teammates scored 28 in the final period, on their way to a convincing 77-40 victory.
