CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats (1-14) have one last chance to earn their second victory of the season against the Alabama Steeldogs(6-9), who need a win this Saturday night at BJCC Arena to give them a chance at a playoff spot. The game kicks-off from Birmingham, Alabama at 8:00pm ET.
The road to the playoffs would be a tough one to tread at this point for the Steeldogs, needing two things to happen: A win over Cincinnati this Saturday combined with a Lubbock win over Oklahoma City. If both events do not occur, the Steeldogs will be eliminated from 2007 postseason contention.
Saturday's game could highlight both teams' trouble defending the pass. The Kats passing defense ranks 26th in af2, allowing an average of 256.7 yards through the air per game while the Steeldogs are 23rd out of 30 teams, giving up 251.2 yards-per-game via the pass. With a pair of talented signal callers under center for their respective teams, tonight's game could be an offensive duel.
