The Mudcats continue a seven game road trip today with game two of a four game series against the Frederick Keys at Nymeo Field in Frederick, MD. Carolina enters today's game at 21-32 and in third place behind the Salem Red Sox and Myrtle Beach Pelicans in the Carolina League Southern Division First Half Standings. The Mudcats are now 2-3 against the Keys this season after losing in last night's series opener 5-4 in 11 innings. Carolina won games one and four of their four game set last month (5/27-5/30) against the Keys in Zebulon and is batting just .188 versus Frederick pitching this season. Mudcats pitchers have pitched to a 1.76 ERA with 41 strikeouts over 46.0 innings against the Keys.

Raymar Navarro makes his second start of the season today for the Mudcats. Navarro has pitched to a 3.91 ERA over 11 games and one start this season for Carolina. He last pitched on 5/30 against the Keys and struck out four while allowing just one unearned run in his first professional start. Navarro earned the victory his last time out and scattered just three hits while working through the fifth and throwing a season high 60 pitches (40 strikes).
