In a cold and rainy bout, the Rockies lost to the Voyagers on Saturday as Great Falls took the lead in the series with a 3-2 win.

After a three-hit performance in his previous game, Julio Carreras snagged the 1-0 lead for the Rox in the top of the third by plating Cristopher Navarro with an RBI single. In the next frame, the purple and silver manufactured a run to extend their lead to 2-0 via Walking Cabrera's sacrifice fly to score Brenton Doyle.

Jared Horn was perfect through five innings but eventually allowed an RBI single to Kelvin Maldonado that cut his lead to 2-1 and then surrendered the lead on a sacrifice fly from Luis Curbelo that made it 2-2 in the sixth.

The Voyagers eventually claimed the lead in the seventh with Trysten Barlow uncorking a wild pitch to allow Luis Mieses to score from third and make it 3-2.

GJ was able to get the tying run to second with no outs in both the eighth and the ninth inning, but couldn't convert on either opportunity as Sammy Peralta hammered down a save with 1.2 innings scoreless.

Jason Morgan earned the win for Great Falls with a season high 7.1 inning start while Trysten Barlow took his first loss of the year despite allowing just one unearned run in one inning.

Tomorrow, Dan Metzdorf will toe the rubber for the Voyagers against Helcris Olivarez who will look to right the ship for the Rockies in the series finale.
