SPOKANE, Wash. - The postgame fireworks show scheduled for July 3rd has been canceled due to increased fire danger across the Inland Northwest. Additionally, the City of Spokane has postponed the Drive-In 4th of July Fireworks Show, with one of the four community sites scheduled to be at Avista Stadium. The 4th of July show will be rescheduled for a later date. Both games on July 3rd and July 4th against the Tri-City Dust Devils will still begin at 7:05 p.m.

"Safety is our top priority at Avista Stadium. Given the recent excessive heat warnings and dry conditions in our region, not holding these shows is the right decision for our community," explained Otto Klein, Senior Vice President of the Spokane Indians Baseball Club.

Dairy Queen Circle The Bases has been added as a postgame event for the game on Saturday, July 3rd. Kids are invited onto the field after the game to run the bases on Avista Stadium's award-winning field. All participants will go home with a coupon for a DQ treat.

Fireworks Nights are still scheduled following Spokane Indians games on the following dates:

Friday, July 16th

Saturday, July 17th

Friday, July 30th

Saturday, July 31st

Friday, August 6th

Saturday, August 7th

Saturday, August 21st
