TONIGHT: The Mudcats begin a new seven game home stand tonight with game three of a split, away/home, four game series with the Astros at Five County Stadium in Zebulon. ICYMI: Osvaldo Duarte hit a game tying home run in the fifth and broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth with a go-ahead, two-out RBI single as the Astros won their seventh straight game, 3-1 versus the Mudcats on Sunday afternoon at Jim Perry Stadium in Buies Creek.
STARTING OFF: RHP Braden Webb has tonight's home stand opening start for the Mudcats. Webb enters tonight's outing at 5-5 with a 3.76 ERA over 14 starts this season. He has also totaled 74 strikeouts, 38 walks and a .224 average against over 67.0 innings. Webb is currently tied for 4th in the CL in most strikeouts (74), 5th among CL starters in lowest batting average against (.224) and 3rd in highest SO/9ip ratio (9.94).
