The Rumble Ponies scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth, but Portland pitching held them off, getting three insurance runs on walks in the top of the ninth, leading to an 11-5 win.

MATA MATTERS - Bryan Mata made his second start of the season last night and had another stellar outing for Portland. Mata tossed 4.0 scoreless innings allowing one run (unearned) on one hit. FIRST INNING SUCCESS - The Sea Dogs have secured the majority of the wins this week with early success in the game and getting on the board first. Portland has scored 17 runs in the first inning this week. They have scored 27 runs in the first three innings against the Rumble Ponies.

HOW MANY HOME RUNS - The Sea Dogs have put on quite the power display this week, recording at least one home run in every game. He has also been extremely productive once getting on base during this streak. He has stolen two bases, raising his season total to 31, and has made his way around to score 9 runs over the streak.

RUNS KEEP SCORING - Portland scored double-digit runs for the fourth time in five games this week against Binghamton. The offensive outburst has led to a six-game streak, where they have scored double-digits four times, all in this series.

SECOND-HALF CEDDANNE - Since getting into the latter portion of the season, Cedanne Rafaela has been spectacular, to say the least.
