BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Dec. 19, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that they have released Jon Sim from his professional tryout contract (PTO).
Sim, 36, signed his PTO on Nov. 2 and played in 14 games for the Sound Tigers. He scored four points (two goals, two assists) and collected four penalty minutes. He was also with the New York Islanders organization from 2007-2011.
The Sound Tigers are in Hartford Friday for a game against the Wolf Pack before home games Saturday and Sunday against the Manchester Monarchs and Albany Devils.
