Newman, Logano, Bowyer, Smith to Headline Race Night January 24

CHARLOTTE, NC - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Ryan Newman, Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer and Regan Smith will headline the Checkers' eighth annual Race Night, presented by WIX Filters on Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. when the team hosts the Oklahoma City Barons.
The Checkers will wear specialty race-themed jerseys which will be auctioned off live after the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Rescue Ranch, Hospitality House of Charlotte and the Isabella Santos Foundation.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at Time Warner Cable Arena by 6 p.m. as Newman, Logano, Bowyer and Smith, along with many other drivers from various circuits, will conduct a 45-minute autograph session on the concourse.
The first 2,500 fans through the door will receive a Checkers cowbell, courtesy of ImageMark, and the first 5,000 will receive a Bojangles' mystery card worth $1 to $100.
A limited number of tickets remain for the game, which is expected to sell out prior to event day.
The Checkers will host the Norfolk Admirals tonight (7 p.m.) before welcoming the Toronto Marlies Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (noon). Thursday's game will feature $1 Bud Light drafts and Friday's game will have a giveaway of ear warmers to the first 2,500 fans. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or the Time Warner Cable Arena box office.
