Coyotes Recall Rostislav Klesla from Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Rostislav Klesla from the Portland Pirates, the club's America Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Klesla has recorded 1-1-2 with a plus-1 rating in six games with the Pirates this season. He has also appeared in 15 games with the Coyotes, totaling 1-2-3 with 10 penalty minutes (PIM).

In parts of 13 NHL seasons, the 31-year-old native of Novy Jicin, Czech Republic has registered 48-110-158 with 606 PIM in 649 career NHL Games.

Klesla was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round (fourth overall) in the 2000 Entry Draft.
