Jets Re-Assign Michael Hutchinson to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have re-assigned goaltender Michael Hutchinson to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Hutchinson, 24, has played in 22 games with the IceCaps this season for a 15-5-1 record, 2.33 goals against average and 0.923 save percentage. The Barrie, ON native has played in 109 career AHL games, between Providence and St. John's, for a 54-42-4 career record. He has also played in 28 games with the ECHL's Ontario Reign this season for a 22-4-2 record, 2.08 goals against average and 0.921 save percentage. He earned CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors twice this season - week ending Nov. 17/13 and Jan. 5/14.

He was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
