Jets Re-Assign Ben Maxwell to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have re-assigned forward Ben Maxwell to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Maxwell, 23, played in five games with the Winnipeg Jets since his recall on Mar. 20/12 where he recorded five points (1G, 4A). He will return to the IceCaps where he has played in 36 games so far this season. In that time, the North Vancouver, BC native has recorded 22 points (8G, 14A) and 31 penalty minutes. The left-handed centre has played in 47 career NHL games between Montreal, Atlanta, Winnipeg and Anaheim for eight career points (2G, 6A) and 19 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round, 49th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
