Jeremy Ebobisse Scores Twice; Quakes Now 4-1-1 in All Competitions Under Interim Head Coach Alex Covelo

VANCOUVER, B.C. - The San Jose Earthquakes and Vancouver Whitecaps FC played to a 3-3 draw on Saturday afternoon at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Quakes midfielder Jamiro Monteiro scored his first goal for San Jose, and forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored twice, marking his third multi-goal game already this season.

After a scoreless first half, the two teams traded a flurry of goals in second half. San Jose held two separate leads, 2-1 and 3-2, but a second-half stoppage-time goal by Vancouver forced the two teams to share points.

The Earthquakes will now return to San Jose for a pair of home matches next week. The Quakes will face the Portland Timbers on Wednesday, May 18, presented by Uber Eats (7:30 p.m.; NBC Sports California), before hosting Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, May 22, presented by Adobe (4:30 p.m.; NBC Sports California).
