Barrie Colts News Release

Colts Tai York scored his first Ontario Hockey League (OHL) goal in a 3-2 overtime win against the Hamilton Bulldogs Thursday night at Sadlon Arena in Barrie.

Beau Jelsma scored the overtime winner, his seventh goal of the season. Ethan Cardwell and Evan Vierling both had an assist on the play.

The Colts went down 2-0 early in the second before Cardwell and York scored to tie the game before the period was over.

It was Cardwell's fourth goal of the season, assisted by Oskar Olausson and Artur Cholach.

York's goal came shortly after in just his second OHL game. Nathan Allensen had the assist.

Colts Mack Guzda stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. With the win, the Colts move to 11-7-2 on the season.

The Colts next two games against the Sudbury Wolves on Friday and Saturday have been postponed after several of the Wolves players tested positive for COVID-19.

They return to action on Dec. 11 when they host the North Bay Battalion. Game Time is 7:30 p.m.
