FORT MYERS, Fla. - Ryan Jeffers smashed his 10th home run of the season, but the Fort Myers Miracle were edged by the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 2-1, on Thursday night at Hammond Stadium as the Stone Crabs completed the three-game sweep.

Jeffers' home run, a solo blast, broke a scoreless game in the fourth.

The Miracle lead was short-lived as Wander Franco hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the fifth inning that proved to be the difference. Franco, the number one prospect in baseball, finished 7-for-12 in his first High-A series after being promoted from Low-A Bowling Green earlier in the week.

Down 2-1 in the ninth, the Miracle put runners at first and second with two outs, but Jose Miranda struck out swinging to end the game.

Blayne Enlow started for Fort Myers and surrendered two runs in 6.1 innings. Enlow (2-2) walked two and struck out six. The former third round pick has thrown at least six innings in all four of his High-A starts.

Joe Record (0.2 innings) and Derek Molina (2.0 innings) combined to toss 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.

Shane McClanahan (2-0) earned the win for Charlotte after allowing one run in seven innings. The Cape Coral native, who grew up attending Miracle games at Hammond Stadium, surrendered just two hits.

The Miracle open a three-game series on Friday night in Fort Myers against the Bradenton Marauders, the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
