Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA - If you missed out on your chance to buy one of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs' teal warm-up jerseys at last weekend's post-game auction, we're giving you another chance to get a jersey and support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) at the same time!
Six more of the teal jerseys worn by the team during pre-game warm-ups throughout this season are currently on eBay for online auctions running through next Wednesday, March 23. Just like last Saturday night's live post-game auction, most of the money from these online sales will be donated to JDRF, the worldwide leader for type 1 diabetes research.
Among the six jerseys online now are two retired Mudbugs greats who briefly re-joined the team at different points this season. The #21 Joe Ori and #24 Jason Basile could be the last two jerseys ever auctioned for these two longtime Mudbugs, so don't miss what might be your last chance to own one!
Also up for online auction are #2 and #9 warm-up jerseys with no nameplate and two blank jerseys with only the word "Mudbugs" arching across the chest and the team's primary logo on both shoulders. After purchase, those two jerseys can also be customized with the name and number of your choice!
For last Saturday's "JDRF Night" presented by Lou Chandler, Inc., one dollar from every single-game and group ticket sold went to benefit JDRF, and the money from these online jersey auctions will join the thousands of dollars already raised by the live post-game auction. The Mudbugs would like to thank all our fans for helping us support juvenile diabetes research!
The ¬ËBugs are currently in Fort Wayne, Indiana preparing for tonight's 7:00 pm contest against the Komets at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Radio coverage starts at 6:45 on News Radio 710 AM KEEL and the game can also be seen live online on CHL-TV.
Season and group tickets are on sale by calling 318-752-BUGS (2847) or by visiting our website at www.mudbugshockey.com.
