Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

EDMONTON, Alta. -- A pair of Edmonton Oil Kings will have a chance to crack Canada's World Junior roster.

Centre Curtis Lazar and goaltender Tristan Jarry were two of the 41 players invited to the Hockey Canada National Junior Team summer camp Monday.

Lazar, 19, could make his second world junior tournament after finishing third on Team Canada with seven points in the 2014 tournament in Sweden. The Ottawa Senators first round pick was named one of Canada's top three players in the tournament by the Canadian coaching staff.

Jarry meanwhile is looking to crack his first World Junior roster after being invited to the summer evaluation camp last year.

The 19-year-old netminder was runner-up for WHL Goaltender of the Year in 2013-14 after setting new Oil Kings franchise records for appearances (63), wins (44), shutouts (8) and goals-against average (2.24).

The camp will be held Aug. 3-8 in Brossard, Montreal and Sherbrooke, Que.
