
Jared Finkel activated from 7-day disabled list

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Jared Finkel has been activated from the 7-day disabled list. Brian Maloney, Twins Senior Manager of Minor League Operations, announced the move.
Finkel went on the DL back on April 27th with a right groin strain. Prior to his stint on the DL, he appeared in five games for the Kernels, posting an 1-0 record, 1.80 ERA and one save. In 10 IP, he allowed 12 hits and three runs (two earned) with five walks and three strikeouts. He was selected by the Twins in the 23rd round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of Iona College.
Finkel is active and available for tonight's 6:00 PM game at Dayton. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players currently on the DL, one player on the suspended list and one player on the military leave list.
The Kernels continue a six-game road trip tonight at 6:00 PM at Dayton. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Monday, May 14th and open a five-game, four-day home stand against Quad Cities that continues through Thursday, May 17th.
