Jacks Celebrate Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary

(Odessa, TX) - Along with two games against the Colorado Eagles this weekend, the Odessa Jackalopes are supporting the Boy Scouts and American Heart Association.
This Friday the Jackalopes will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts as the team faces Colorado at 7:05 PM. Local scouts in the community will be presenting the American Flag before the singing of the National Anthem. Mascots from the Midland-Odessa community will also be on hand for the celebration.
Saturday's game caps off a week-long fundraiser for the American Heart Association where students in area schools sold tickets to the game. The team is also raffling off autographed helmets to generate extra support for the AHA. A special feature of the night will occur from 6:00-7:00 PM when 75 students will be jumping rope in the Ector County Coliseum to raise awareness for the American Heart Association.
Both games begin at 7:05 PM. Saturday's game is Juha Toivonen Figurine Giveaway night. Fans can pick up free ticket vouchers at local Jack in the Box and Security Bank locations for the games.
