
Bees Make Defensive Swap With Missouri

HIDALGO, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced a trade that sends Defenseman Mike Harr to the Missouri Mavericks in exchange for Defenseman Andrew Davis.
Davis, 28, is in his fifth pro season. The Nepean, Ontario, native appeared in 41 games with Missouri this season and recorded seven points (5-7-12) and 105 penalty minutes. Last season, as a member of the Wichita Thunder, he posted 15 points (3-12-15) and 135 penalty minutes in 41 games. The 6-foot-0, 195-pound defenseman has a total of 72 points (17-55-72) and 571 penalty minutes in the CHL with the Mavericks, Thunder, Odessa Jackalopes and Memphis RiverKings. Davis has also played in the IHL with Port Huron and in Germany with Crimmitschau ETC. His pro totals include 201 games played, 75 points (18-57-75) and 571 PIM.
Harr, 22, appeared in 40 games with RGV and collected 10 points (1-8-9) and 48 PIM.
"I felt we needed some grit on our blue line," Killer Bees Head Coach Chris Brooks said. "Andrew is a hard-nosed kid with experience that I think will add a needed element to our team."
The Killer Bees visit Laredo tonight at 7 p.m. and return home tomorrow vs. the Bucks at 7:30 p.m. The first 1000 fans through the doors tomorrow get a Killer Bees fleece blanket courtesy Rio Home Care, Fox Rio 2 and Mix 107.9. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
