Jackals Encourage Fans To Bring Donations For Samaritan Center

Since their inception in 2000, the Elmira Jackals have always sought to give back to the community as much as possible. Once again they are asking their fans to come forward and join them this Saturday night when the Jackals take on the Adirondack IceHawks in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

Jackal fans are encouraged to bring clothing, non-perishable food items, or monetary donations to the game on Saturday night to help support the Samaritan Center. The mission of the Samaritan Center is to provide a hospitable environment where people in need are welcomed and affirmed, and are provided food, clothing, and special assistance to meet short-term emergencies. Over 70 volunteers helped the staff of three in providing for over 20,000 requests from individuals and families in Chemung County.

The Jackals and IceHawks will face off in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals on Friday night in Glens Falls at 7:30 pm, moving to Elmira for Saturday's Game Three. Tickets are available through all TicketMaster locations, on line at www.TicketMaster.com, or charge by phone at (607) 722-3711. Seats may also be purchased through the Coach USA Center Box Office, open 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday. Come out and help make a difference for the less fortunate in our community.
