Jackals Add Two Defensemen from Rochester

ELMIRA, NY - October 23, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that defensemen Spiro Goulakos and Josh Chapman have been loaned to Elmira from Rochester.

Goulakos, 25, has appeared in one contest with the Rochester Americans this season and posted a plus-one rating. The Montreal, Quebec native was a two-time captain at Colgate University, accruing 71 points (22 goals, 49 assists) and 176 penalty minutes in 130 NCAA games.

Chapman, 20, has also appeared in one game with the Rochester Americans and logged four penalty minuted to go along with a plus-one rating. The Stouffville, Ontario native skated in 180 games for the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League prior to turning pro and recorded 25 points and 321 penalty minutes.

Additionally, the Jackals have released defenseman Mitch Stretch from his Standard Player Contract.
