Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
The end of the Moose Jaw Warriors' season last month marked the end of Brooke Kosolofski's time with the organization.
Kosolofski, who served as the team's athletic therapist for the past ten seasons, moved on from the Warriors to join the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders.
"It's been a fun ride, it's bittersweet with the result [in Game 6 against Winnipeg], but I wouldn't change anything," Kosolofski said as the Warriors' cleaned out the locker room.
"It was a great ten years and the best decision I ever made in my life to come to Moose Jaw."
Kosolofski joined the Warriors during the 2013-14 season and surpassed 500 games on the team's bench last season.
He said the relationship with the people that have come through the Warriors during his time will have the most lasting impact on him.
"Over the course of the years, meeting lots of good players, lots of good people, so those are what sticks out for me the most," he said.
Warriors forward Jagger Firkus said that Kosolofski will be missed in the Warriors' locker room.
"Brooksy's been amazing, he was fun to be around every day, he was someone you look forward to coming to the rink and seeing," he said. "Everyone had a relationship with him, he's funny and we're going to miss him a lot, but he has great things in his future."
Kosolofski will now take his talents to football as he's joined the Riders for training camp, which opened last weekend in Saskatoon, serving as Assistant Athletic Therapist for the CFL team.
"It's obviously pretty different for me, different sport, different kind of athlete, so it will be a challenge, but something that I'm excited for," Kosolofski said.
Kosoloski and the Riders open their season on June 11 against the Elks in Edmonton.
