
Giants Acquire Overage Defender Hammett from Brandon

Vancouver, B.C. - General Manager Barclay Parneta announced today that the Vancouver Giants have acquired 2003-born defender Logan Hammett (Regina, SK) from the Brandon Wheat Kings. In return, the Vancouver Giants are sending a fourth-round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft back to Brandon.
Hammett, a left-shooting d-man, checks in at 6'1" and 190 pounds. In 144 career games (all with Brandon), Hammett has 4 goals, 33 assists, and 98 PIM.
"We think that Logen will fit in well on the Vancouver Giants blueline," said Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta. "He will bring valuable experience to our group and we're looking forward to him making an impact this season."
