Brandon Wheat Kings News Release

Brandon, MB - The Brandon Wheat Kings Hockey Club and broadcast partner Q Country 91.5 Radio announced that they have parted ways with Director of Media Relations and Radio Play-by-Play Host Chase Johnston.

"A last-minute addition to our 2022-23 broadcast team, Chase worked very hard to embrace the Wheat King's rich history and the community of fans that follow them," offered Q Country Program Director, Rac' Carney. "We know his vivid on-air descriptions will soon serve to raise the excitement level of broadcasts enjoyed by fans in other markets."

"I would like to thank the crew at Q Country and the Wheat Kings organization for giving me the opportunity to do what I love, and I look forward to following the Wheat Kings from a distance next season," said Johnston.

"We would like to thank Chase for his contributions to the team and wish him luck in his future endeavours," said Wheat Kings General Manager, Marty Murray.

The search for the new "voice" of the Brandon Wheat Kings begins immediately.
