Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

NEED TO KNOW: After a pair of come-from-behind wins on Friday night, the Albuquerque Isotopes (37-45) couldn't find the magic a third-straight game, suffering a 2-0 loss to the Reno Aces (45-38) in front of 12,997 fans at Isotopes Park Sunday night.

CRITICAL MOMENT: Isotopes starter Jeff Bennett matched Aces starter Andrew Chafin with five shutout innings, but in the top of the sixth, Reno loaded the bases with only one out by way of a walk, error and single to left field. Bennett induced a groundball back to himself. Losing track of the outs, he threw to first, neglecting the double play, which allowed the first run of the game to score. Bennett would end the inning without any more damage, but the Aces tacked on another run in the ninth.

HOLD THE RUNS: Seven of the 14 of the lowest scoring games (three runs or less) at Isotopes Parkhave occurred in the last two seasons. The 2-0 final with Reno follows a 1-0 victory by Reno at Isotopes Park on May 26 this season. It is also the 41stgame of the year Albuquerque has played that was decided by two runs or less. The Topes are 19-23 in those contests.

ARRUEBARRENA KEEPS HITTING: Infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena has a hit in 14 of his last 15 games after a 1-for-3 evening. During that stretch, he has eight multi-hit games and is batting .423 (22-for-52) with three doubles, two triples, six walks, six runs scored and six RBI.

SILENT AUCTION AND HAT GIVEAWAY SUNDAY: Your Isotopes will be wearing special pink jerseys to bring awareness to breast cancer that will be auctioned off during the game on Sunday! Be sure to place your bid in front of the Pro Shop before the sixthinning to take home a special game-worn jersey. Net proceeds of the auctionwill benefit Susan G. Komen Central New Mexico. The first 3,000 fans through the gate will also receive a free hat courtesy of Coca-Cola.
